Sony Ericsson C905 – Mobile Phone Review
The Sony Ericsson has always been a top choice of consumers when that time comes to trade in the old, scratched and scraped, mobile phone for a trendy new version that is sure to make everyone else jealous. The C905, released in October 2008, has been doing just that by receiving nothing but excellent reviews for its superb features; including the one it is best known for, the “Cyber Shot” camera. It is boasted to be one of the best camera phones on the market today.
The sliding form phone, which was a revolutionary new design only a couple years ago, is now a standard offer by almost all manufacturers. The C905 utilizes this compact form to a new level. It is merely 104mm x 49mm x 18mm and weighs a diminutive 136g. The scratch resistant mineral glass does an excellent job in thwarting fingerprints and scrapes, a long time annoyance of other phones. Instead of the typical shiny plastic materials used today, the Sony Ericsson C905 uses a matte coating with only little soft plastic, making it appear very dexterous as well as durable.
A retracting cover lens reveals and activates the 8.1 megapixel camera. It provides face detection, image stabilization, red eye reduction, and a new feature of automatic enhancement called Smart Contrast. To the pleasure of many, it also brings back a former feature which increases the quality of photos taken at night.
What is the fancy new addition to make this new version an absolute ‘must have’? There is a built in GPS system with satellite navigation and inclusion of Google Maps. This integrates with the camera feature by determining the exact location of where a photo was taken. Could this possibly be a clever new way to check on whether or not your kids were doing homework at a friend’s house or if they were actually at the local frat party? Now you can just make sure to tell them to take a picture when they get there and send it to you. If that still isn’t enough, you can use a memory micro card which allows storage of approximately 2000 MP3 tracks. Add in Wi-Fi connection of Bluetooth and USB and you’ve got yourself the most useful gadget around.
This Sony Ericsson is the first cell phone to offer the 8.1 megapixel feature and surely guarantees to deliver your dollars worth. It has every feature expected, never before offered features, and features you probably could not even dream up. Now you can have a phone that plays the radio, downloads music, takes pictures and movies, sends email, makes video calls, gives you your own blog site, lets you watch TV, play The Sims 2 (One of the best selling PC games of all time), and wirelessly connect to your television set. Never again will you be late for an appointment due to worry that you are turning left when you should have made the last turn on the right. What will they come up with next?
